Our newborn kid

So everyone knows that we have two kids, Juliana and Jorryn, and now we have a newborn, approximately 6 hours old, Bella. For all those who like to know the "stats", she was 7lbs 8oz. and 16 inches long. Very healthy. Lots of dark hair. Labor was quick and painless for Jami, but she is expecting a long sleepless night. I plan on getting some sleep though. If you are wondering if she was planned...the answer is not really, it just happened. If you are surprised, you are not alone. We were too when we found out. Actually I was more shocked than Jami, she was ecstatic. So were the kids. Here are some pics, I hope you enjoy.







We took her from her momma right away, as she was not really being accepted. She was the second born, and did not bond as well as her older twin brother. The kids and Jami have been asking us for a goat for awhile, and I guess now was the time.

It started out to just be a dinner over at mom & dads, but I didn't know that the goats were ready to kid. They were just a few hours old when we got there at 7pm, and it was clear that we were going to be taking one home at around 7:01pm. I don't think I had a chance to object on this one. I guess we are getting another one within a week or so, so stay tuned.
